River Creek Club Wedding
There’s something extra special about photographing a wedding when you’ve already had the chance to get to know a couple through their engagement session. By the time Adrian and Barry’s wedding day arrived, I already knew how sweet they were together—and I was so excited to celebrate with them at the beautiful River Creek Club in Leesburg, Virginia. Their wedding day was filled with the kind of moments that make photographing weddings so rewarding: genuine laughter, incredible friends, happy tears, a beautiful setting, and a whole lot of dancing.
A Sweet Couple with an Incredible Group of Friends
One of my favorite things about Adrian and Barry’s wedding was seeing how loved they are by the people around them. They had such a wonderful group of friends who brought so much energy and joy to the day. From the getting-ready moments to the reception, their friends were completely there for them. You could feel how much history, friendship, and love existed between everyone in the room. It made the celebration feel incredibly personal and full of life. And after photographing their engagement session some time before the wedding, it was especially meaningful to see Adrian and Barry surrounded by everyone they love as they officially celebrated their marriage.

The River Creek Club was a gorgeous backdrop for their wedding day. Located in Leesburg, Virginia, the venue has everything I love about a Northern Virginia wedding setting—beautiful scenery, elegant spaces, and plenty of opportunities for portraits that feel timeless and romantic. There was something about the combination of the venue, the couple, and the atmosphere of the day that made everything feel effortless. It was the perfect setting for a celebration that was both elegant and incredibly fun.
She Looked Absolutely Beautiful
Adrian looked absolutely beautiful. But beyond how stunning she looked, one of my favorite things about her wedding day was how genuinely excited she was to be there. She had the sweetest energy, and you could see the happiness on her face throughout the entire day. And then there was the dancing. I absolutely loved her excitement for dancing. There’s nothing better than a bride who is ready to get on the dance floor and celebrate—and Adrian fully embraced it. Her joy was contagious, and the reception quickly became one of those parties where you can tell nobody wants the night to end. Those are some of my favorite wedding photographs to capture: the moments when everyone stops worrying about the camera and simply enjoys being together.
A Wedding Day Full of Joy
Looking back at Adrian and Barry’s River Creek Club wedding, what stands out most is how joyful the entire day felt. It wasn't just about the beautiful venue or the gorgeous details. It was about the people. It was about Barry surrounded by his friends. It was about Adrian's excitement and happiness. It was about the laughter, the dancing, and all of the little moments in between that made the day uniquely theirs. As a wedding photographer, those are the days I love documenting most.
